POWER LINE STAKING

Profile Powerline Inc. utilizes Trimble GPS equipment and ArcGIS software to perform accurate and efficient surveys for power line projects.

Our pre-design surveys typically involve collecting data points for potential pole locations, identifying obstacles, mapping terrain features, and documenting nearby utilities. This data is then imported into PLS-CADD to begin the design process.

After the design is finalized, our team revisits the site to stake each individual pole and anchor. Stakes are clearly marked with color-coded ribbons and labeled with structure numbers, framing instructions, and other relevant information. All markings are consistent with the details provided in the Issued for Construction (IFC) packages, helping ensure a smooth transition from design to construction.

We also conduct existing infrastructure surveys using ArcGIS to create detailed site maps. These maps can be used to identify important system components such as circuits, switches, fuses, and load points, supporting effective planning and maintenance.
