POWER LINE PROJECT & CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Project management can include everything required during the construction phase from start to finish or any combination desired including, but not limited to:

  • Permitting – this can include assistance with any utility, rail or highway crossings or corridors.  We also have some limited experience with indigenous interests and environmental aspects of the permitting process.

  • Environmental sweeps – assist in organizing third party biologists to conduct the pertinent animal sweeps prior to any construction. Assist in identifying any potential environmental barriers. Assist in ensuring aboriginal interests and/or archaeological sites are identified,

  • Site preparation – supervising 3rd party contractors to create accesses for pole locations. This may include tree removal and other Right of Way (ROW) work.

  • Material procurement – complete ordering and logistics for transport and storage of materials including poles.

  • Preconstruction set-up – organizing and set up of temporary office(s), washroom facilities, vehicle lay downs, etc.

  • Preconstruction meeting – a detailed in person meeting with construction crews discussing expectations for quality assurance, timelines, site procedures, etc. This is typically conducted in an office setting with various media such as Power Point, Arc GIS, etc.

  • Quality assurance & quality control – an on-going assessment to ensure quality is maintained during the construction process. Documentation stamped by professional engineer provided to the client upon completion.

  • Immediate As-Built support – the ability to make engineered approved changes as they happen in the field. This reduces any risk to the system without delaying construction.

Our goal is to work with our clients from the scoping stage to power line energization, streamlining the construction process, and safely helping to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
